Accountant/Financial Specialist
Responsibilities:
Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and assign entries to proper accounts.
Enter purchase orders with Operational Manager of raw materials or products and keeping in contact with suppliers regarding payments.
Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
Follow up of receivable balances.
Review & approve payment vouchers, prepare bank payment orders.
Prepare invoices and contract to the customers as well as review suppliers’ documents.
Prepare, maintaing payroll records and disbursements
Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly and yearly financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting and procedural standards.
Assist in developing, maintaining and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Archiving costs and income documentation on the relevant folders.
Other duties established by management.
Skills:
• Proven accounting skills;
• Proficiency in Excel;
• Fluency in spoken and written Azerbaijani;
• Upper Intermediate/Advanced level of English;
• Intermediate level of Russian;
• Competency in MS Word, PowerPoint;
• Accuracy and attention to details;
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks;
• Data entry and word processing skills;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Analytical skills, ability to think critically and use sound judgment;
• Good communication skills;
• A self-motivated, highly driven and entrepreneurial personality;
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor or Master degree in finance field;
• Any ACCA/CIMA exams passed is an advantage;
• A prior work experience of at least 1-2 years in the accounting field is an advantage
